Reception In The Honor of Mustafa Kamal

City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal has said that Karachi is not an ordinary city of Pakistan. Development in Karachi means progress of Pakistan. World would not have waited for us if we had started one project at a time, that’s why we started dozens of projects of flyovers, underpasses and roads simultaneously and completed them in record time.

He expressed these views while addressing a reception in his honor given by renowned industrialist Ali Jameel in a local hotel on Wednesday. The program was also attended by the members of Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

Nazim Karachi said that when we had started work in our first year, lot of people started criticizing us but after some time the same people begun trusting us when they saw fast paced development works in the city. He said that the development process in Karachi was based on this fact that Karachi is the backbone of national economy and improvement of infrastructure would help enhancing investment and business activities in the port city. City Nazim said that it was my responsibility to develop Karachi and solve the problems of citizens as soon as possible. Following the policy of our party and our leader Mr.Altaf Hussain we have performed development works in every nook and corner of the city and without any discrimination of cast, creed or language. He said that despite of having a short time to serve the people; Haq Parasts have proved their abilities now the people of Pakistan should think about it and implement this model of progress in whole country. Mr. Ali Jameel and Jameel Yousuf on this occasion presented a souvenir to City Nazim.

Karachi Dec 11: City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal has thanked and applauded the efforts of Quaid-e-Tehreek Altaf Hussain, Governor of Sindh Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan, Provincial Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza and D.G Rangers for not having any unpleasant incident during Eid-ul-Azha in Karachi. He also commended the administration of all 18 Towns and City Government for all of their hard work and efforts to make the operation, involving the lifting and immediate disposal of over one million offals successful.

Nazim Karachi said that in all 1200 complaints were received at 1339 which had been addressed and solved right away.

Addressing the media at a packed press conference at KWSB office on Thursday, he also announced the closing and conversion of the Eid Operation into cleanliness drive and complete cleaning of city by today evening with the help of all the manpower, machinery and other resources used in the instant disposal of offal.
The City Nazim said that the law and order situation in city before Eid-ul-Azha was not good and it was feared that there would be clashes over the collection of hides of sacrificial animals and the situation would get worse, but all credit goes to Quaid-e-Tehreek Altaf Hussain who had personally contacted all the political leaders before Eid-ul-Azha which had delivered a positive message to all parties concerned.
He said that the city government also worked in the cantonment controlled areas of Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Clifton during the Eid Operation while responding the complaints of the people living in these areas. Nazim Karachi also congratulated the minister for local government Agha Siraj Durrani for exemplary performance of the concerned organizations under his control. He said considering this performance the funds of city government should be restored too.

Karachi Nazim Mustafa Kamal said that the praise bestowed on him by the US journal does not mean that MQM has reached the peak of what it can do to serve the people of Karachi.
He stated this while talking to the media at the airport after returning from London on Sunday. MQM leaders including Dr Muhammad Farooq Sattar, Babar Khan Ghori, Shoaib Ahmed Bukari, Dr Nusrat, Waseem Aftab and City Naib Nazim Nasreen Jalil, along with provincial ministers, town ministers, union nazims, city council members, Karachi DCO Javed Hanif, KWSB MD Ghulam Arif Khan, City Government EDOs, media representatives and citizens welcomed Kamal at the Karachi Airport. The crowd chanted slogans while a band greeted Kamal with beautiful tunes.
This was the first time that an MQM member was greeted by such a huge crowd. Talking to the media, Mustafa Kamal said that the privileged land and feudal lords that make up 2 percent of the country’s population should understand and realise that in order to save the country and encourage progress, they will have to bring on board and share their wealth with the other 98 percent of the population. He congratulated the middle class and the Haq Parast people and stated that his mention in the mayors of the moment was the result of Altaf Hussain’s 30 year long struggle, which is also the success of the poor and the middle class.
He said that the 30 year long effort of MQM against feudal lords and capitalism has been appreciated by the world and now feudal lords and the capitalist class must understand that the implementation of Altaf Hussain’s and MQM’s policies is the only way to save the nation from conspiracies and set it along the path of progress and prosperity.
Mustafa Kamal further stated that MQM has rebelled against the corrupt political system and feudalism in the country as MQM is the only party that elects poor and middle class people and represents them in the National and Provincial assemblies.
He went on to say that the governor of Sindh, senators, MNAs, MPAs, ministers, city nazim, naib nazim, town nazims are elected representatives of MQM that belong to middle class and are all doing their best to solve the problems faced by the public.

MQM to set up micro-finance facility to help jobless youths

Altaf Hussain through a telephonic address to a gathering here on Sunday night. He advised those youths who are unable to find jobs after completion of their degrees to avail this facility. He appealed to the attendants at the gathering to come forward and help the MQM in setting up this fund. Following this, prominent businessmen present on the occasion announced donation of millions of rupees for the fund. Even students donated small amounts of money for it. Altaf Hussain also said that those who support Talibanisation in Karachi should be socially boycotted by the citizens.
