MQM gives call to people to save sindh
Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain disclosed here that 400,000 Taliban have entered in Karachi only in last one month and they are also spreading in other parts of the province with full force. Giving a call to the people of all walks of life particularly son’s of Sindh to come forward with a view to saving their land.
Speaking to different wings and committees of the party over telephone from London at Lal Qila Ground in Azizabad yesterday Altaf Hussain said that time has come to raise slogan of ‘Taliban Na Khapay’ (Taliban unacceptable).
He warned that if the activities of these armed Taliban continued and any one tried to occupy Karachi through force, then they will have to face the consequences in every nook and corner of the city.
He further said that the Taliban have encroached land in and around Karachi and have also established their pickets with heavy arms and ammunitions in the hill tops of the city.
He regretted that ‘entire city is held hostage by these armed men who are roaming freely but there is no one to stop them’.
He alleged that these armed Taliban are involved in dacoities, kidnapping for ransom and other criminal activities with any fear.
He demanded of the government to take immediate notice of the situation and start action to disarm them and make arrangements for their stay outside Sindh.
He said that ‘we are informing since long about the activities of Taliban and their plans regarding Sindh in general and Karachi in particular but the government continued to deny but some events exposed the reality that what the MQM was saying is based on truth and reality’.
He warned that government to take immediate action for stopping the activities of Taliban here otherwise the government would be held responsible for the outcome.
